Thai Yoga Massage Open Day in Shrewsbury

Thai Yoga Massage Open Day in Shrewsbury

Friday 9th August will see the next Thai Yoga Massage Open Day at Centre for Integral Health. It is such a great delight for us to bring this authentic practice to the Centre in the hands of two traditionally trained Thai practitioners Aranya Condon and Wan Phillips.

So to celebrate this great new service we are offering, we are having an open day on Friday 9th August to share the cultural practice of traditional Thai Massage. From 10am until 6pm we will be giving 30 minute FREE demonstrations of Thai Yoga Massage. There has been such interest in this that it has had such a strong underground following right from the start. This offer is open to new clients only and must be booked in advance by contacting Aranya here: https://integralhealthshrewsbury.com/about-us/our-practitioners/aranya-condon/

We will have special decoration in the training room and around the centre, Thai music and some delicious Thai food treats made by Aranya who is herself an accomplished and recognised Thai Chef.

Those who come along can expect to feel themselves transported if only temporarily from the spirit of the Shropshire countryside to the spirit of Thailand when they receive Traditional Yoga Massage at the centre.

Traditional Thai Massage This is a unique form of therapy used to relax, rejuvenate the body and reinvigorate the mind. Over two thousand years ago the Buddhists in Thailand developed skilled massage and body manipulation techniques that help to balance the energies of the body by stimulating natural energy lines (meridians) and pressure points.

A Thai massage lasts between 1 and 2 hours .One hour is very beneficial, two hours is even better! The practitioner will use pressure to relax and heal the entire body. This Pressure can range from very gentle, to very deep, firm pressure, as far as the client wishes to take it. Sometimes the client may fall into a very relaxing sleep during the massage, and wake refreshed and with new energy.

Advanced Thai Medical Massage Therapy This type of massage therapy focuses on deep stretching and acupressure points for the relief of more than 50 minor ailments, such as: muscle sprains, tennis elbow, stiff neck, back pain, fatigue, stiffness and nervous tension. It also helps to make muscles, joints and tendons more supple and is helpful in preventing the atrophy (wasting away) of muscles in elderly people who are unable to exercise.

The powerful soothing properties of the oils relax body and mind, reduce fatigue and clear out toxins. The massage focuses on the meridians and pressure points, stimulating the flow of vital energy.
