Sovereignty Meditation Part 5: Summer Solstice
Sovereignty Meditation Part 5: Summer Solstice
Within the series of Sovereignty Meditation that we have been doing at the Centre from the fabulous work of Sue and Simon Lilly, the summer solstice is perhaps one of the better know moments.
The Goddess representing this time is Enid, Lady of Joy. The energy of this point allows us to appropriately respond to the needs of others, in such a way that allows them space for their own development. We can only really do this from a point of inner security and stability (key goals at Centre for Integral Health) that encompasses the awareness we need to be receptive to our own growth and transformation. It encourages a mutual enjoyment of life that fires the desire for inner wisdom, allowing the flow of love and inspiration to touch all those around us.
The visual key and audio essence that are an integral part of the meditation process in the sovereignty series are a combination of
- Red and Blue Geranium for balancing fine levels of communication with the practicality of everyday reality. This helps to bring plans into being, shedding light on hidden areas of skill and helping to begin processes of transformation.
- Topaz for directing and focussing energy. For shifting negativity, especially from the emotions, bringing organisation and creating confidence. The gold variety (in the tools we are using) energises the solar plexus chakra, easing fears and insecurities.
- Blue Light which keys directly into communication in all its facets. It helps create flow of information by balancing out highs and lows. Blue helps to bring peace, quietness and detachment.
- Prepared at a site on the Mary Line in Cornwall, the ley line either side of the celebrated Michael Line. The Mary Line reflects a more yin energy.
- Charged by celebratory mantras from a group of people who were chanting mantras from a buddhist tradition.
The Goddess Archetype is of Enid - Healer and Transformer bringing understanding.
In Arthurian and other legends (The Mabinogion, Gereint and Enid), this facet of the goddess is usually represented by someone who helps development of true compassion. Enid is linked to the stories of the white heart, the mysterious deer which does not seem to be of this world. Enid is representative of Sovereignty, confers power when her challenges have been met. Here is yet another myth of the hero needing to see beyond the obvious (Enid appearing first in drab old clothes) to actually get his act together. Throughout, Enid is patient and gradually a balanced partnership emerges as the hero finds his own sovereignty within himself.
This is a journey we all make. Sometimes we have to make what appear to be sacrifices to help others become who they are. If we are fortunate we will have an 'Enid' to help us find our-selves. When we make inroads on that journey, it changes how we function in relationships, allowing us to find joy for ourselves and in doing so, serve the Land.
As with all the previous Sovereignty Meditations we will combine the guided visualisation with a visual key based on the qualities listed above and a matching audio essence. we will also atomise a Sovereignty Chalice essence made from Tourmaline through the room while we meditate.
Past experience has shown each one of these to be profound learning and development experiences for each individual. No previous attendance or experience is necessary and all are welcome. I look forward to seeing you all.
This meditation will start at 6pm and we ask a donation for attendance. Any questions can be sent to ben@bencalder.co.ukor call me on 07748947131.
As always I give thanks and acknowledgement to Sue and Simon Lilly for this material and the essences, words and visual keys can all be purchased from their website www.greenmanshop.com
