Sovereignty Meditation Part 3: Spring Equinox Celebration 20th March 7pm
Following the sovereignty year series of meditations developed by Simon and Sue Lilly, Spring Equinox is the time of Kundry, the dark woman of knowledge. The essence of this time helps to create practical focus for imagination and inspiration. Its not hard to see how the shift in the light and weather (as I write this) would be pertinent at this time of year. It helps to calm the mind to allow for perception and intuition to highlight worn out behaviour and emotional patterns. This in turn, brings the subconscious drives to the surface for transformation.
Expansion of feelings, freedom of expression both bring added strength to stand out in the crowd with new confidence.
Spring equinox is one of the two days in the year where day and night are of equal length, the balance points of the year. This also marks the beginning of the astrological year, being the first point of Aries. This also highlights the archetypal energies concerning patterns, shape and cyclic changes.
The Archetype of Kundry is associated with knowledge and challenge, teaching and destiny.
In Arthurian legends, Kundry is usually linked to the black maiden or hideous damsel in celtic tradition. Often depicted as an exceptionally ugly woman, wealthy and learned. IN the stories the hero is often required to kiss the ugly form which enables her to be transformed into beauty.
Kundry is the guardian of traditions and has no qualms of getting down to do the most difficult of tasks. The 'black' is indicative of how much power she holds, similar to the image of Kali in Hindu mythology. She is the voice of the earth and therefore the voice of sovereignty. When approached in the right way she has much to teach. One way is to embrace everything and look at life as a play of the elements, another is to study the theories. One way is to know things intellectually and the other is to know them from the centre of your being.
This is the duality of the spiritual path, a recognition of the balance of male/female within. Plus the understanding that the student is given knowledge to become better than the teacher. This archetype also has links with serpents and dragons, with all the mythology that they entail.
Whatever the physical appearance, the voice of the earth and the presence of sovereignty, is welcome. She is linked to Matt, the Egyptian goddess of judgement and balance.
As with those that have come before, this meditation experience is open to all no matter what their level of experience. We will be combining a visualisation process with audio, visual and energetic essences to make a full presence into the moment experience. These meditations seem to connect to very deep levels for most who attend.
We start at 7pm sharp so please be on time. All welcome on a donation basis. Please share and bring your friends to ground and anchor the self into this moment, giving you the chance to project forward into what you want to create in this next stage of the year.
