Sovereignty Meditation Part 2: Imbolc, 1st February 2014
The essence of this focus, which connects into the aspect of the Goddess as Dindraine, is about bringing forward the commitment to learn from mistakes and release energy to focus on new growth. The focus helps to readjust ideals from dreams into practice, stopping the dissipation of vital energy. It creates an innate understanding that projects and change are sometimes slower than we would like, but progress will be secure and lasting.
Within this series we are using a combination of tools to help us connect into the energy at this point in the year which will include visual patterns to bring in the qualities of Hazel for the flowering of skills), Oriental Hellebore (healing the endocrine system and increasing self-assurance), Wallflower (helping to create security and inner warmth), Mandrake (Transformation, practical change, visionary flow and increasing dynamism) and Amber (energising and warming).
We will also be using an audio essence to bring in the same qualities through a different set of senses (seeaudioessences.com) as well as the qualities found in the Imbolc Chalice essence made from red tourmaline (flint and Orange Hawkweed) which will be atomised into the air to support the the experience (throughencouraging us to be adaptable with the tools and skill we already have. The magenta and reds of rubellite encourage deep personal healing, reinforcing our connection to the Earth and bring many levels of protection and support.Combining all these facets enables us to draw strength and energy from the planet and transform it with our innate skills into release any blocked creativity).
With all this support present, a guided visualisation will take place to help us with the theme represented in the archetype of Dindrane; guidance, stability, empowerment and destiny.
In Arthurian tales she is linked to what is called the Dolorous Blow, the illness that affects the land and leads to the Grail quest. By being able to see the patterns in our lives and in the society in which we live we can see key elements of the original legend. What is it that afflicts us - what burdens do we carry as a result of someone else's inappropriate action? Where has the behaviour of a well-known person damaged society as a whole?
Both of these bring illness and weakness, as we (or our community) get overwhelmed.
Eventually the Grail energy is activated and people who act as champions appear who are willing to heal and restore.
The Sovereignty myth here shows that a person of innocence and openness is able to access the healing energy, releasing it to help others.
Great thanks go out to Sue & Simon Lilly for producing most of the material for this series ans the support they have given through the years.
Please not the meditation will start at 6pm and the doors to the centre will be locked after this point so as not to disturb the process. All are welcome and no experience is necessary. There is no formal charge but donations to the Centre are greatly appreciated.
Please share this event and bring your friends for what promises to be a great event.
